KIERSTEN BJORK is a professional theatremaker, performer, and reviewer from Branford, CT. She is a 2021 graduate of Fairfield University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with degrees in Theatre and English (Creative Writing Concentration), and minors in Classical Studies and Environmental Studies. She is the Theatre Manager at Legacy Theatre in Branford, the Marketing and Communications Specialist for the Branford Community Foundation, an a cappella ensemble singer with the Royal Court Singers, and she does freelance theatre work for the Quick Center for the Arts and Theatre Fairfield. In addition to theatre, Kiersten reviews books for Booktrib. She is also a performer, having worked on dozens of productions both onstage and off with companies such as Legacy Theatre, Seven Angels Theatre, Shoreline Theatre Company, Theatre Fairfield, and more. Favorite performing credits include Joan Joyce! (Young Joan Joyce, Teen Joan Joyce), The Spitfire Grill (Percy), [title of show] (Susan), Footloose (Ethel McCormack), Beauty and the Beast (Enchantress, Madame D’Arque, Ensemble), A Christmas Carol (Fan, Mrs. Fezziwig, Martha), and Chicago (June/“Squish”). Kiersten’s credits also include director, scenic designer, master carpenter, board operator, stage manager, assistant stage manager, run crew, and more on numerous productions over the years, with favorites being I Do! I Do! and The Last Five Years (ASM, Legacy Theatre) and Rabbit Hole (Scenic Designer, Theatre Fairfield). When not working or performing, Kiersten leads a writing workshop at the local library and volunteers at the local animal shelter.
