Connecticut Theaters

 

List of Award Eligible Theaters and Other State Theaters

 

To be eligible for the yearly Connecticut Critics Circle awards, theaters must:

  1. Produce shows on a regular basis. This means that the theater either produces multiple shows per season (2 or more) OR offer at least 21 performances of a one per year season.
  2. Request being on our list and must provide documentation that they meet the stated requirements.
  3. Agree to undertake the responsibility of communicating with members of the Connecticut Critics Circle and offering all members tickets to productions.
  4. Have been in operation with an Equity contract for two years or seasons.
  5. Be under one of the following Equity contracts:

COUNCIL OF RESIDENT STOCK THEATRES (CORST)
LEAGUE OF RESIDENT THEATRES (LORT)
LETTERS OF AGREEMENT (LOA)
SMALL PROFESSIONAL THEATRE (SPT)
UNIVERSITY/RESIDENT THEATRES ASSOCIATION (URTA)

Other Equity contracts will be accepted at the discretion of the Connecticut Critics Circle Board of Directors.
Once accepted, a theater may be removed from eligibility at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
