I am a University of Idaho graduate (MA, English Lit). By day, I have worked in the wines and spirits industry, advertising, marketing communications, and corporate sales, and more recently as the managing editor of The Norwalk Citizen-News.
I currently teach composition and English at Norwalk Community College, where I received the 2010 Teaching award. I also teach and tutor for The Princeton review and am the theater critic for the Brooks Community newspapers.
By night I write poetry and short stories, one of which was selected for Houghton Mifflin’s Best American Mystery Stories 2000 anthology. I have also had work published in Indigenous Fiction, Blue Murder, Fugue and Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine. My poetry has appeared in over fifty journals and magazines, including 96 Inc., Fox Cry Review (U. of Wisconsin), Concho River Review (West Texas A&M), Yemassee (U. of S. Carolina), Limestone (U. of Kentucky), and the Connecticut River Review.
