Lauren Yarger is Editor of the award winning Connecticut Arts Connection (http://ctarts.blogspot.com), Contributing Editor at BroadwayWorld.com and a theater reviewer for the Manchester Journal-Inquirer. She is a voting member of The Drama Desk, The Outer Critics Circle, the American Theater Critics Association and a member of the League of Professional Theater Women. She formerly worked in theater management at the Bushnell, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and at Masterwork Productions, Inc. Previously, she was a theater reviewer for CurtainUp and American Theater Web and was a fellow at the National Critics Institute at the O'Neill Theater Center.
When she's not reviewing Connecticut theater, she's reviewing Broadway and off-Broadway shows at Reflections in the Light (http://reflectionsinthelight.blogspot.com) where she edits the only source for a professional review with an added Christian perspective. She writes, directs and produces for theater. Her three-year tour of "Early One Morning," a one-woman musical about the life of Mary Magdalene, ended with an Off-Broadway showcase and her Christian musical adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" won a 2000 VT arts award. A book reviewer and writer for Publishers Weekly, she also is a freelance writer. She and her husband live in Granby. They have two grown children.
